ABOUT CANINE CUES

My name is Sarah Sorbie and I have created Canine Cues in order to combine my passion for dog welfare, behaviour with human psychology.
In 2011, I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an Honours degree in Psychology. This has given me an excellent knowledge upon which to work with the interactions of different species in their modern day environments. It is this foundation which underpins the theory of positive reinforcement of desired behaviours and a comprehensive knowledge of research inquiry to evidence best practice.
During my 8 years working (and living on site) at a well established Canine Rescue Centre, I have worked with an extensive range of behavioural issues in dogs and have gained invaluable experience.

Over the years I have attended numerous conferences and workshops which have provided me with up to date knowledge on canine behaviour, welfare and training.
I am fully committed to continuing my professional development to ensure that my knowledge base is extended, current and in line with recent research and models of best practice.
I use reward based training only and place emphasis on the importance of understanding your dog's emotional state and individual needs in order to strengthen the canine-human bond.
Any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
